The Bigdog and The Bigaddy

It is with a very sad heart that write this. Tuesday December 2, 2008 I had to let my best friend and companion, Tank, cross over the Rainbow Bridge and begin his journey north. I told him that this was not a good bye, but like ever day when I left home for work I would always tell him “Ill see you later Buddy.”
In the near future I will write a closing story on this chapter of our lives but now, my heart wont let me.

Yes you read that correctly, my human, the one who refers to himself as my Daddy, is slacking in his job to keep me entertained.
In the past month I have not gone any place further than Quick Trip. For those of you just joining the show, Quick Trip is a place the humans refer to as a Convenience Store and its one of Daddy’s favorite places, and for good reason, it has many great and tasty things to eat but it is a short ride there and back home. Daddy was off the last four days and the only thing that saved it from being a total waste was we did go to one of my favorite places, Daddy calls it the Doughnut Factory but I call it the White Box Full of Sweet Goodness Shop. Its short ride there but Daddy always comes out with a white box filled with some of the tastiest treats I have ever had. Some are just little round frosted balls that for some stupid reason the humans call Donut Holes, why I do not know, they do not look like a hole. Daddy and my favorites are long and covered with a chocolate frosting and filled with a fluffy white center called Long Johns, now that name fits them. Then there are the Jelly filled ones, those are quite tasty along with the thick creamy filled ones, I’m drooling just remembering them.
Ahhh but I digress, back on the main topic, the visit to the tasty shop was included with a visit to Quick Trip, then later in the day we went to Quick Trip again for a grand total of two rides on Daddy’s first day off then nothing else the next three days, just staying at home. My only entertainment this weekend was a visit by Jeffery, no trips to Grandma and Grandpa’s, no trips to the Land of Smells or as the Humans call it, PetSmart, just laying around doing nothing. If Daddy doesnt snap out of this soon I may be forced to go Malamute on him.
